A Quantitative Analyst, often referred to as a Quant, is a finance professional who applies mathematical, statistical, and computational techniques to analyze financial markets and securities. Their role is central in investment banks, hedge funds, asset management firms, and financial technology companies, where data-driven decision-making is essential for pricing derivatives, managing risk, and developing trading strategies.
About role
Mathematics & Statistics: Probability, linear algebra, calculus, time-series analysis.Financial Theory: Derivatives pricing, portfolio theory, risk-neutral valuation, arbitrage pricing theory.Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, C++, Java, or MATLAB.Machine Learning: Knowledge of algorithms used in predictive modeling and classification.Data Analysis: Big data techniques, SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Responsibilities
Develop mathematical models to forecast market trends and asset behavior.Conduct statistical analysis of market data and historical trends.Design algorithmic trading strategies for high-frequency and low-latency environments.Build pricing models for derivatives (options, futures, swaps).Assess and mitigate financial risks using quantitative metrics like VaR (Value at Risk).Optimize investment portfolios using advanced techniques (e.g., mean-variance optimization).Implement models in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, or MATLAB.Collaborate with traders, data scientists, and software engineers.
What we are looking for:
- 12+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of design principles.
- Expertise in the full design cycle: from concept, research, and scoping to wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
- Proven experience designing complex web applications and enterprise software, with a focus on creating scalable.
